Emily Neifeld, Partner
Lobkovich Kitchen Designs is proud to name Emily as partner. Emily joined the firm 19 years ago, her leadership and creativity have helped establish LKD as a leader in high-end residential kitchen, bath and wardrobe design. Emily’s design style and technical abilities will help LKD continue to offer our clients fresh and exciting possibilities for their ever-evolving lifestyles.
Emily is a fourth-generation kitchen designer, graduating from Marymount University’s Interior Design Program (B.A.) in 2006. In her ever-growing interest in the creative arts, Emily has pursued painting, drawing, and jewelry-making, just to name a few! Outside of the office, Emily enjoys checking out new breweries and food festivals. She is also in constant pursuit for that perfect mid-century find, so her weekends are frequently spent visiting estate sales and antiquing.
Lisa Antonelli, Senior Designer
With over 20 years dedicated to LKD, Lisa is an experienced professional in the kitchen and bath design industry, having worked in Ohio, Florida, and Virginia. She earned her Interior Design Degree (BS) from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and her background also includes two years practicing interior design in Florida, where she specialized in selecting paint colors, fabrics, furniture, lighting, and drapery design. In her free time, Lisa cherishes moments with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Joann, along with their goofy dogs and cats. They find joy in watching Joann participate in the HS marching band and Swim Team. Mark and Lisa often unwind by participating in an axe throwing league, gardening, attending rock concerts, and going to the movies.
Sari Castrén, Designer
Sari, who holds an M.Sc. in Architecture, honed her skills in her native Finland on projects ranging from remodeling to building alterations. She moved to the Washington metropolitan area nearly 17 years ago after an interesting job opportunity arose for her spouse. The Castrén family settled in the peaceful Virginia suburbs, where they raised their two sons. What Sari knows and loves best is to travel and explore new places with her husband, and occasionally, now grown-up sons join them. Besides traveling, Sari enjoys movies, cooking, visiting museums, and hiking in parks and trails.
Sari joined the Lobkovich Kitchen Designs team in 2015. She loves being part of a team that creates new and innovative kitchens, helping clients envision spaces they might not have even dreamed of.
Alexa Jostes, Senior Designer
Alexa obtained her B.S. in Residential Environments and Design with a cognate in Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2016. Even as a child, she loved solving puzzles and doing anything creative, so it is no surprise that she found her passion in kitchen design. Alexa grew up in Knoxville, TN with her family and dog, Roxie, and moved away to Northern Virginia in 2017 (she misses Roxie the most). Alexa spends her free time taking weekend trips, playing cards, and exploring all that the city has to offer-from new restaurants to beer tasting festivals, trivia nights, and more. She also enjoys true crime podcasts, cooking, and much to Roxie’s chagrin, Alexa loves cats!
